Prologue: Son of The Devil

Heaven and Hell. Polar opposites, with the only similarity between the two being that both realms house the soul's of Earth's deceased. For hundreds of years, these places were thought to represent good and evil. Theres Heaven, which is supposed to be a place of bliss and eternal peace. Where the faithful and pure hearted come to rest when their time on Earth is over. Where angel's roam, who protect the good from the wicked and try to save the innocent, who are teetering on the edge of damnation. But most importantly, Heaven is home to the almighty God, who is the creator of all, and sacrificed his own son, himself in human form, to deliver humans from the clutches of Satan. Then theres Hell. A place filled vile, monstrous demons, who try to bring humans to commit crimes against God and their fellow man. A place where the most sinful, tarnished souls the human race has to offer are cast into a pit of fiery torment for all eternity. It is the lair of the ultimate deceiver, the most evil and powerful of the demons, the betrayer of God. He goes by many names. The Devil, Satan, Beelzebub, The Beast, but his true name, is Lucifer. The fallen angel, who went against the almighty and was cast into the fires of hell, along with his comrades, never again allowed to see the light of heaven.

Like this, there are many stories and beliefs over Heaven and Hell. But underneath all the religious words, it's simply a story of good and evil. The struggle over these two forces has been around since the beginning of life itself. Humans are the best example of this. One person may save a helpless child from a burning building, risking their own life for the sake of another's out of the goodness in their heart. Another person may rape, beat and kill a child due to the perverse and selfish desires of there own twisted hearts and minds. But one must ask, if Human's are capable of such heroism and atrocities, then is it impossible for a demon to do good, or an angel to do evil? Perhaps even Lucifer is capable of taking pity on someone, and God is capable of being merciless and cruel. Perhaps human interpretations of the powers at be are wrong altogether. Most are at piece with the idea that the Devil is evil and God is good. That God is going to protect humans from The Devil forever. But if these beings are so powerful, so omnipotent, then how can mortals such as humans truly know or even comprehend how they work?

Who is to say Lucifer dose not feel guilt over what he's done? Maybe Lucifer misses God, but knows all too well that returning to God is impossible. Maybe God misses Lucifer as well, and was saddened by his betrayal, instead of being angered by it. Perhaps to this day, God weeps in pain over Lucifer and the suffering he goes through, and Lucifer weeps over the pain he causes God. Mabye humans have Lucifer and God's story wrong altogether. This being said, mabye all the evils in the world are not to blame on the Devil or the lack of God, but on the simple force of evil itself. For if good and evil are two uncontrollable, yet unbreakable forces, then aren't angles and demons, Heaven and Hell, God and Lucifer, bound by these forces as well?

You're probably ether thinking I'm crazy or that I'm that I bring up a valid argument. Or you have no idea what I'm talking about. Well, let's just say I do know what I'm talking about, and I have an interesting history to back it up. You see, I know full well what happened between God and Lucifer. Funny thing is, its not as black and white as most like to think. Its not as simple as most like to think. But then again, who the hell am I? Who am I to say that the views of the church are misguided. Who am I to say that some cross on a wall or around someone's neck isn't gonna do shit against a real life demon. Who am I to say that an angel on a mission is ready to kill an innocent person who happens to get in their way as much as it's ready to kill a demon. Who am I exactly?

Well, you could say I'm the "Anti-Christ", but that just makes people assume I'm here to fuck up the world. I'll tell you now, that I have no intentions of messing with this place. I was born on this little blue ball, and I for one, like it here. Besides, Im not a monster or anything. My mother was human, and she was one of the kindest people in the world. I mean like, Mother Teresa kind. You'd have to be to take in the Devil himself, who just happened to be stuck in a human form, and dying on your doorstep from stab wounds. Even more so, to then nurse him back to health, and somewhere along to the line, see the good in him, get married and have a kid with him. She had a way of doing that. Seeing the good in any person or being. She could stop a blood thirsty serial killer and reduce him to tears with just the way she could analyze him and then tell him everything was going to be okay. She even convinced me, when I was holding her as she slowly bled to death in my arms, that everything was going to be okay. The only time she ever looked worried about something was when she asked me, begged me, not to hate my father for not protecting us, for not saving her. She told me that he left so this wouldn't happen, in a clearly failed attempt to keep us safe. She told me that he loved us. Then she died, her last words where simple. "Grow up strong, baby."

I never planned to hate my father, and even if I did, just by her request, I would throw away all my "daddy issues" and love the man unconditionally. Despite what most would think, I'm not the hating type. I'm not as warm hearted as my mother, she wouldn't hurt a fly. I, however, would and have hurt a lot more then just a fly. But I'd make damn sure whatever is receiving a hit from me, deserves it. I don't hurt or kill just for kicks. In fact, I hate having to do it. However, I did what she asked. I grew up strong. I didn't really have much choice in the matter. There are monsters in the world, alot of them. I don't really think God can get every single one of them. Not that I think she's getting any of them in the first place. Oh yeah, forgot to mention that, God's a woman. Funny how people worship something and the get simple details like a gender, wrong. Though I suppose in actuality, she dosen't really have a gender...eh, whatever.

Like I said, there are monsters in the world, and I take care of the problems they cause. Whether that means straightening their asses out, or putting a bullet or two between their eyes, however many they may happen to have. So now we're back to the question of "Who am I?", well there's a simple answer to that. I'm the half human son of the Devil, and I hunt and kill evil beings to protect the human realm and its inhabitants. But that's too big a title to remember, so you can call me Kyle.
Well here we are again, at the first chapter of Bloodlust. The reason I say "again" is becuase this is like the 4th time I've restarted the series. But I promise, THIS IS THE LAST TIME IM RESTARTING IT! (Im probably lying.)

The reason Im restarting it was this. I felt I was starting to make the mistakes I made when I restarted the story last time. When I started, I felt I was ready to rewrite it. However, when I finished chapter 2, I realised I was no where near ready. My problem was that I wanted to remake it so badly, that I thought of a detailed plot for the first few chapter's of the story, then an overall plot for the story. So I went back to the drawing bored, came up with a plot and now here we are with a prolouge! The prolouge is first person through Kyle (the character in the story based of me.) as he talks to an unknown person. THE REST OF THE STORY IS GOING TO BE READ IN THIRD PERSON, ITS FIRST PERSON HERE FOR EFFECT ONLY. Some of the plot is etheir forshadowed or revealed without have much said on it. So to find out more, your just going to have to keep reading. The true plot, and what Kyle's "Job" really is will be revealed as the story progress's. This is probably going to be slow, but I should stay on top of it better then my last few attempts.

Thanks for reading! :D
